Crystals change color by detecting pH changes in your cat’s urine, which may indicate a potential urinary health condition and alerting you to consult a veterinarian. Simply add an even coating to completely cover the entire surface of a fresh litter box. After your cat urinates in the litter box, wait at least 4 hours. Then, refer to the color indicator chart on the bottle. If colors outside the yellow/green range persist and/or your cat seems distressed, consult your veterinarian.
